One of the main objectives of the Consortium is to contribute to the fight against the Digital Divide, working for equal access to the opportunities and benefits of new information and communication technologies, particularly among young people, and the world's poorest regions. For this reason we have created the "The E-inclusion Site" (www.e-inclusionsite.org) where you can find all the activities and initiatives the Consortium pursues in this arena.

It is our fundamental belief that every person, organization and community can make a difference in helping create social awareness and solutions to tackle the digital divide and, above all, make true the dream of a better world and the particular goal of the UN Millenium Summit: to reduce poverty by half by the year 2015.

To transform this belief into an initiative, we have written a declaration that pledges a commitment to fight against the digital divide in the world. The idea is to give visible expression to the growing movement of individuals, organizations and communities who share the ideals and sentiments of using the opportunity opened by the new technologies to build a better world.

Join the "Social Movement against the Digital Divide". Sign the declaration now (in French, Italian, English, Spanish, German) and send it by fax to +39-06-42000442 or post it to Consorzio Gioventù Digitale Via Umbria 7, 00187 Rome, Italy. Let us join hands in the effort to reduce the digital divide and transform our drops of concern into an ocean of change
